Two Arrested after GTA 4 Attack

No, this isn’t another of those lame “video games cause violence” articles that mainstream journalists love. According to Leyland Guardian, two men from Leyland have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault after having stolen Grand Theft Auto 4 from an 18-year-old early on April 29th. Leyland police issued the following statement:

“In the early hours of Tuesday, April 29, an 18- year-old man was attacked by two men who stole his Grand Theft Auto 4 computer game on Golden Hill Lane in Leyland.

“As a result of inquiries, two men, aged 18 and 21 from Leyland, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault. They are currently being held in custody at Leyland police station awaiting interview. Investigations are continuing.”

In the face of such a massive product launch as GTA 4, with its 6 million units sold in the first week, such reports are not uncommon, even if the people risking arrest to steal something worth $60 that they can buy in any shop are still silly nonetheless.
